Update for December
You are probably aware that the Royal Mail workers are taking strike action fighting low pay. As It has affected most of the population one way or another and is certainly in the news, we're sure that you are not unware.
The strike dates have been confirmed as:
- Thursday 1 December
- Friday 9 December
- Sunday 11 December
- Wednesday 14 December
- Thursday 15 December
- Friday 23 December
- Saturday 24 December
This affects both Royal Mail and ParcelForce deliveries and please bear this in mind when selecting your delivery option.
Knock-On Effect
Royal Mail has not confirmed whether the strike action will impact Christmas post but it is highly likely given there are six fresh strike days in the run-up to December 25.
We do find that the delivery systems take several days after a strike to clear backlogs that have been accumulated. Obviously ParkerBrand dispatch the same day if ordered by 2pm but across teh whole period choosing Royal Mail delivery options will very likely mean delay.
