The demand for generators has never been as high as now. Due to a combination of ease of ordering, plentiful stock free delivery and other factors we'll check below we have had a huge upsurge in orders for our models from our generator range. Our Cust Care Team are happy to take calls on our direct line (01507 499198) but we thought we'd put together some answers to some of the frequent questions that we have so you can tick them off with ease!
Do they come with Oil?
In short, no. We can't send machines that are oiled through courier or delivery networks as it is indicated as a hazardous material. It's soon resolved. We can dispatch with a sealed bottle which you can include with you order and can be found here. You can buy it locally of course. You will need approx 600ml of SAE30 to start your machine - always make sure the oil s well topped up.
Are these suitable for digital equipment like my PC, TV or phone?
These are not suitable for the powering digital equipment or LED lights. This is to do with the fluctuation of the sine wave in this type of generator. To run digital equipment you will need an Inverter Generator. ParkerBrand will be stocking the next generation of inverter generators later in 2023. We'll keep you posted.
They are a large package - is delivery free?
Yes, delivery is free! If you are in a Highlands and Islands area or over in Northern Ireland there is a charge, but its exceptionally competitive. However, due it's size and the special delivery requirements delivery of the PPG-6800 does have a delivery charge; as ever, it is exceptionally competitive.
Are any ParkerBrand generators electric start/key start?
All of our machines utilise robust recoils. Started as they should be, they are robust and do the job simply. We don't sell any models with a key start - for now!
Will my generator have warranty?
Yes, all ParkerBrand machine bough directly from us have an extended warranty up to two years. We are straightforward in this respect and warranty details are displayed on the warranty tab above the product description on all product pages.
Will it run my equipment?
Probably the most common question and an absolutely valid question. It really does depend on the power demand of your kit - and the calculation of the start-up demand (which can be x2 the running demand). We have a straight-forward blog that deals with this question at greater length and will help you to assess what you need.
Does my generator come with a wheel kit? Can I buy a wheel kit to fit?
PPG-3750 (3.75kva) - Yes comes with wheel kit
PPG-6870 (6.8kva) - Yes comes with a wheel kit
PPG-2800 - Does not automatically come with a wheel kit

Can I return my machine if I have oiled and fuelled it?
This is why we really do advise checking the generator is sufficient for your power needs. We are not able to accept returns on machines that are not as delivered. If you have simply realised you do not need or want your generator and it's exactly as when it arrived, not fuelled and oiled, you are welcome to return it with 3-days. Is it possible to buy spares for my machine after warranty?
We make a strong point of offering a broad range of spares for our machines. It the responsible thing to do. We like to take care of things after you've bought from us and having a healthy stock of spares that might be required due to wear and tear or accidental damage is a fundamental as far as ParkerBrand are concerned. Do you offer commercial warranty?
Our machines are robust and work very well in a domestic setting - we do not offer warranty on items used commercially. We do make this clear on the warranty tab of each product.
How do I know my order has gone through?
When you have placed your order, you will receive an order confirmation directly to the email address that you have used on your order. if you need a full invoice for your records or reference we can email it swiftly upon request.
When will I get my generator?
We will dispatch your order the same day if you order before 2pm on any day of the working week. We'll deliver for free or you can choose express at the check out. These are 'big and bulky' items and we'll deliver in 1 - 3 days.
The PPG-6800 delivery is outside of the weight limits for what you might call standard couriers. They are delivered mounted on a pallet and are delivered by a company called Pallet Line, with whom we have a long working relationship. You can expect your order to arrive with 2 to 3 days but won't always be dispatched the same day. Don't worry, we are very quick off the mark with our considerable experience coming in to play.
